current mood: calm

Those familiar with Dragonspace or Paula's other projects will no doubt be excited to hear that the Dragonspace calendars for 2008 are out now.

These magical calendars are designed for working from (i.e. hand-written and no pictures of fairies or similar ;)). Features include: sunrise and sunset times (for Auckland); moon phases; moon signs, the times of transition between these and void of course times; other major astrological information including retrogrades; suggestions of fortuitous days for certain types of work and when energies of a particular type may be particulary notable; days of transformation; major festivals and festivals for some deities and l'wa; and more. The calendar also includes a guide for using these features, suggestions for timing, and information on basic candle magic, potato magic and more. They are selling for $20 each (plus getting them to wherever you are if postage is required, I guess!). Paula hasn't made many this year, so there are very few left.

Happy Midsummer!
by Deadgirl Superstar (jinx_victim)

When every Pagan on the internet is throwing about "Happy Yule!", and everyone around you is decking the halls with winter decorations, life can seem very strange. And if one more person here sings a winter carols or mentions Yuletide six months out of kilter, I will kill them with a beachball.

Happy Midsummer, everybody!

I hope your day was a joyful one, and that your time with your family during this season is free from drama. Have a good Annual Gift Day on the 25th, too ;)

Ok so Sophie and I have been talking about the Luna Eclipse that happened tonight (I really hope you all got to see it!)

But we noticed the complete absence of any major mythology on this type of eclipse (one where it goes red)

so firstly anyone know of any? we know about the whole moon being eaten by something stuff but nothing about it going red

SO

We decided to make our own: we were thinking something along the lines of this was the moon going from being a girl to a women...maybe a ritual like how they used to have for when girls first menstruated
any thoughts? or want to add something to our myth?

Hey Peoples

I’m looking for a rune of cleansing and also one of rebirth, something that can be carved into a candle to be burnt over the course of a month

Anything would be a great help!

Blessings

Gig: Mother Russia - July 20th - Auckland

Hello, 93, Merry Meet, Ave Maria or what ever you prefer,

You may have seen this but thought I would post it here just in case. Vostok Lake are a pagan act and have at least a few songs that people here may enjoy. The early dj sets or dark folk and prog rock have a pagan bent too and may be of interest.

Hardcore paganism

Its a different world out there.  If you think you have problems with being discriminated against for being pagan then read the following article, gleaned from the New Zealand Herald (5/5/07). You think you are a hardcore pagan?  Then check out the last paragraph.  The goddess is alive!
